Slurry Seal Application Scheduled for Sept. 2 – 3, during Night Hours
Crews have completed sewer installation work at the Scottsdale Road and Mayo Boulevard intersection. Scheduled to take place during night hours Tuesday and Wednesday nights, September 2 - 3, from 7 p.m. each night until 5 a.m. the next morning, a slurry seal pavement application will be applied to the intersection, followed by temporary striping. During the night work hours, lane and turn restrictions will be in place and will vary each night, and there will be no access to/from Mayo Boulevard at Scottsdale Road. This work is taking place during night hours to accommodate businesses and the traveling public, and during daytime hours, traffic control will be removed to restore normal travel to the roadway.

This effort represents one segment of improvements in the city's infrastructure to provide increased wastewater capacity to maintain and provide the high level of service for current and future residents and businesses. The overall sewer system upgrades currently being constructed as part of this project extend from Scottsdale Road, just south of the Loop 101, in a southeasterly direction to Pima Road, just north of the CAP Canal.
Thank you for your patience during this work.
