Construction Info
Scheduled to begin April 21, crews will work during night hours Sunday through Thursday nights, from 8 p.m. each night until 5 a.m. the next morning, to install sewer pipeline in Scottsdale Road at the Mayo Boulevard intersection. To accommodate this work, Scottsdale Road and Mayo Boulevard will be reduced to one lane in each direction with no left turns permitted at the intersection for approximately 1-2 weeks. Following that work, for the next 5-7 weeks, work will continue at the intersection and then move north in Scottsdale Road to just south of the Loop 101. During this work, lane restrictions will be in place and left turns restricted, as needed, to shift traffic away from the work activity. This work is taking place during night hours to accommodate businesses and the traveling public, and during daytime hours, the work area will be covered with steel plates to restore normal travel to the roadway.
In addition to this night work, crews will need to conduct occasional work over the weekends in Mayo Boulevard on either side of Scottsdale Road, with no access to or from Mayo Boulevard at Scottsdale Road. Scottsdale Road will remain open for travel during this weekend work, and detour signage will be in place to direct travelers around the closure. In advance of these activities, message boards will be in place to inform travelers.
This effort represents one segment of improvements in the city's infrastructure to provide increased wastewater capacity to maintain and provide the high level of service for current and future residents and businesses. The overall sewer system upgrades currently being constructed as part of this project extend from Scottsdale Road, just south of the Loop 101, in a southeasterly direction to Pima Road, just north of the CAP Canal.

Thank you for your patience during this work.
